Welcome to the website of the European Union Delegation to Afghanistan. We hope you will find this site informative and helpful.
The purpose of European Union Delegation websites is to provide basic information to a number of user groups: the general public, media professionals, those with a more academic interest and for those interested in working as implementing partners with the European Union.
As the Union's role in Afghanistan is under periodic appraisal and adjustment to reflect the changing needs of the Afghanistan people, we will endeavor to provide you with the related updated information on our activities on a regular basis.
More specifically, for present and future implementing partners, we have provided basic information on our present funding activities and on current calls for proposals and tenders. As application and monitoring procedure for all European Union funded projects are often revised to fine tune and reflect policy changes of EU global development goals, we have also provided links to the most recent updates of European Union proposal application forms and the related guidelines.
We would like to note that this site can only provide an overview of only a small corner of the activities funded by the European Union in the developing world. For those of you who are interested in a broader understanding of the European Union's role in the rest of the world, where the Union has over 140 delegations and offices, we have provided a number of links to the main European Union websites
and to Asia Links for information on EU activities in Central and South Asia.
